Domestic abuse

Domestic abuse is when someone in a close relationship - like a partner, ex-partner, or family member - hurts, controls, or frightens another person. This can include physical harm, threats, shouting, controlling money, or stopping someone from seeing friends or family. It can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background, and it’s never acceptable. If you're experiencing domestic abuse, you can find guidance here. You can also learn about the support available from Women's Aid below.

Once you've made your report to the police, complete our form here or go to our customer portal. Please include the incident/crime reference number and investigating officer's details so that we can contact them and work with you to agree the appropriate next steps.
