Q&As

Find out more

Yes, Sage Rented Limited will become your landlord. However, the conditions of your tenancy would not change as a result of the transfer and your rights would not be affected at all.

Sage Rented Limited is a registered provider like Sage Homes RP Limited (SHRPL). This means that it is regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing, just as SHRPL is now. All the same regulatory guidance will continue to apply to Sage Rented Limited which means that your rights will also be protected.

You don’t need to do anything now. Nearer the time, you’ll need to change the name on your payments to the new landlord, but we’ll send you a letter explaining this.

No, the proposed transfer won’t affect your rent or service charge. We’ll continue to review charges every year, as we do at the moment, in line with your tenancy agreement.

No, there will be no change to the services you receive or management of your home and the same people will continue to provide the services you currently receive.

No, you’ll continue to get in touch with us or your managing agent as you do at the moment, by phone, by email, by the website or via My Sage Home. We’ll give you plenty of notice of any change to our contact details.

Transferring our rented housing stock into one company in this way will help streamline Sage’s housing operations. Separating the different sides of our business will help us focus on the things that matter to our customers.

We’ve looked carefully at the consequences of this proposal and we’re confident that there are no disadvantages to the proposed transfer of ownership.

You won’t have to pay anything towards the costs of this transfer. There will be legal and administrative costs in completing this relatively straightforward process, but Sage Homes will cover these fully.

We anticipate that, if after carefully considering your feedback our Board approves the change, the transfer will legally take effect in the month or two following the Board’s decision.
