Sage is England’s largest provider of newly built affordable housing. As a registered provider, we are proud to be helping to address the housing crisis by providing affordable housing to those most in need. We provide both new Shared Ownership (part buy, part rent) and rental homes.

Our purpose is to provide homes to those in need, inspire change, innovate within our sector and improve lives enabling our customers to thrive. We deliver high-quality, well-managed and customer-focussed affordable housing. We are bringing meaningful, stable capital to the sector, enabling increased development of high-quality affordable housing for the people who need it most.

Customer-first approach

Top quality customer service is of the upmost importance. It defines what we do, from how we are funded, to how we do business with our partners. With our customers at the forefront we are adopting a fresh digital approach. All our rental and shared ownership customers have access to our digital portal to make payments, log service requests or message customer services. Our rental homes are managed by Places for People, an industry leader in the provision of housing and housing services which holds the highest sector ratings for governance and financial stability.

What makes us different

Our enterprising approach means that, as well as being customer focused, we are delivering homes ahead of targets we set ourselves. This is possible due to our dedicated teams and partners working together across our business and the wider sector. As we continue to grow, we will strive towards our target to deliver 30,000 homes by 2030.

Strong governance and funding

Sage’s Board includes several independent members who contribute strong experience of the sector and a robust risk management and control framework. Through our sustained focus on our customers, we already aim for the highest levels of compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing’s standards. We have voluntarily adopted the rigorous Financial Reporting Council’s UK Corporate Governance Code. Our commitment to the best environmental, social and governance (ESG) practice is at the heart of how Sage is working and has been the driving force behind our sustainable bond development.
