Sage Homes

Spring clean your community

Clean up your community and get to know your neighbours - find out more below.

Suitable for 10+ neighbours

How it works

1. Get your neighbours together and agree a date and location to clean up your community.

2. On the day, pick up litter and fly-tipping and make natural areas beautiful again.

3. Arrange collection of the rubbish at www.gov.uk/find a local council or take it to your local recycling centre.

Don't forget to take some photos of the clean-up and share them with your community!

Keep us up-to-date

We'd love to hear about your plans and see photos of your community events too. Drop us a line if you need more information or help with organising your spring cleaning event - or other initiatives - at heartofsage@sagehomes.co.uk

What you'll need

  • Litter pickers
  • Protective gloves
  • Bin bags
  • Container for sharp objects
  • High visibility jackets
  • Hand sanitiser and a first aid kit
  • Public liability insurance (you can get this easily from most insurers)

Why do it?

Litter-picking can be really fun! It brings your community together and gets everyone thinking about the environment you live in.

It's also satisfying to see the impact at the end of a hard day's cleaning.
