Get ahead of damp this winter
None of Sage’s homes are over eight years old and, while condensation and damp can appear in any home, your home is built to modern building regulations and free from a legacy of damp.
This month, we welcome Awaab’s Law, which comes into effect, making sure reports of damp are dealt with quickly and effectively. We’re pleased to see this new legislation in action for our sector, as it reinforces our approach of dealing with reports of damp quickly and effectively.
What does this mean?
Awaab’s Law simply reinforces the timescales we already work to. We will provide emergency repairs within 24 hours, investigate any issues within 14 further days, share the investigation report with you within 48 hours of the inspection, and start work within seven days of the inspection.
Help us keep your home damp free
A major factor in damp is condensation. You can help prevent this by simply wiping your windows dry in the morning, using a squeegee or thick microfibre cloth, and opening your windows for five minutes to let in some fresh air.
