Joint owners should complete and submit the form separately.
First step: complete the application form below
Prior to completing the form...
Please ensure that your home is registered with the Land Registry. It's important to do this as soon as possible - find out why. You'll also need to check that you have a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
After you've completed the form...
We'll arrange for your home to be valued by a RICs-accredited surveyor. You can use your appointed estate agent to organise viewings and collate the information required to approve a potential buyer. Once a buyer is found, you'll need to collaborate with them and us to handle all necessary paperwork and inquiries before you agree on a completion date.
Joint owners should complete and submit the form below separately.
Resale form application
Please be aware: you should not agree to buy a home which is dependent on the sale of your own home if your buyer has not been approved.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements
Some checks may need to be carried out to ensure that the resales transaction is compliant with AML requirements.
Selling your home
If it has been more than two years since you’ve purchased your home from us, you're likely to be asked to provide proof of your identity and proof of your address.
Buying your home
Your buyer/s will be asked to provide proof of identity and proof of their current address. They will also need to provide bank statements: three months for a current account and twelve months for savings/investment accounts.
They will be asked to answer additional questions about source of funds, especially if the money has been gifted or they are overseas residents. Their solicitor should be able to guide them through this process.
If you're selling your home we strongly recommend that you don't progress with any ongoing purchase until the buyer has been approved by the Sage AML Compliance team
