Planned Improvements
We’re committed to keeping your home safe, comfortable and in good condition.
We carry out regular decoration and essential maintenance to look after your home properly. This helps us meet the current Decent Homes Standard and prepare for any future changes.
Making sure your home is in good shape
As homes age, they may need more than everyday repairs. To plan for the future, we carry out a property condition survey every five years. These surveys help us understand how long different parts of your home will last and we use this to plan future investment works. When your survey is due, a surveyor carrying identification will visit your home to:
- Check the condition of key areas such as walls, windows, kitchens and bathrooms.
- Take photos and note any issues
In the meantime, our Repairs service resolves everyday repairs. Please keep reporting any issues through My Sage Home so we can put things right quickly.
Your home data
The information we collect as we undertake surveys and improvement works, is added to our property database so we can keep an accurate picture of your homes and meet all safety, legal and Sage Homes standards. This also means that information will be available to you when you request it.
We undertake a cycle of planned maintenance works every seven years to ensure that the external parts of your home last as they should. Works may include gutter clearance, washing and decoration works and we also decorate communal areas within blocks. As we deliver these works, we ask for your feedback to continually improve our services.
Future planned programmes
All Sage Homes are under ten years old, but we’re already planning ahead for future maintenance and replacement works.
This helps us make sure any larger works in the years to come are well‑managed and cause as little disruption as possible.
