The Decent Homes Standard
The Decent Homes Standard sets out the minimum requirements for the condition of social homes. Find out more below.
For a home to be classed as 'decent' it must fulfil these four criteria:
- Meet the current statutory minimum standards for housing
- Is in a reasonable state of repair
- Has reasonable modern facilities and services
- Provide a reasonable degree of thermal comfort
